What I want

THE SCENE
They looked so cosy and safe in their small living room...snuggled infront of the fireplace, nestled in each other's arms..
she(looking up into his eyes): "i feel strongly for you..i really do..you're obviously a genuine, caring person..but i have been hurt so much in the past.. i'm afraid of being used"
he( looking down deeply into her eyes):"i know what you mean..i don't want you to be hurt either..i'd never hurt you."

She clings to him and her fears melt away..and their lips lock in trembling kisses

I get carried away by these sensual scenes. i'm a sucker for mushy romantic movies, and soft music, candle-lit dinners ..flowers, chocolates,
slow dancing....(sigh!)

Is it just me...?

sam-

of course it's not "just you". the yearning for intimacy is probably universal. and even most men who dismiss "romance" are secretly watching "pretty woman" ... or they are dead inside.

funny though - while women keep saying how they love to get flowers, and little gifts, and pralines, and being taken out to dinner & dancing ... it's been while since anyone sent ME chocolate.

"I don't want you to be hurt either..I'd never hurt you" - that is what women always want to hear even when their intuition tells them the opposite.

Still, we love to be in love.

I don't watch romance movies, cuz they light the fire and only leaves me with a state of lust, greed and instability. Just like you all.

I agree with Temetwir, too. Big no no, for that line to be said, she just wanted to hear the words, eventhough they could be lies.

I'm a romantic but if I heard "I'd never hurt you" That's a sign to get the hell outta the relationship! Total line!

No..it's definately not just you...honey..I crave over these things...so you're definately not alone...now when it comes to reality...that's a whole different ball game...in a book it's fine but in real life..I guess we kinda know that it's usually B.S...sadly!

I've experienced that scene and I was the one who ended up getting hurt! I'm still confused as to what happened and need major closure!

*sigh* no, not the only one ;)

Stallion, I'm so sorry about that. But shit must happen. What happened is that it was an experiance and u learned how it feels to be let down and betrayed. Now it's time to feel the finer things in life. Chin up hon, to experiance the light one must know the dark.

And this goes to u too Miscosmo and anyone who has little faith in love and anyone who's been hurt, Including myself ;p

Love doesn't just belong to novels, poetry and movies. It's real & it's tangible. The only difference is that like most things in life it needs to come from your intuition and it needs working on. Nothing in life comes without a good portion of from-the-heart effort.

I agree with you Peach but I think I might talk it over and see if I could get back with her! I haven't lost faith in love!

Mmmm its nice to have, but I think no one really appreciates this. Its always like a game, never letting go of thinking beyond what is present. Always analyzing, why do this now? what does this mean. Good thing I do it for my own enjoyment :p
