I miss good ol' VA but inshallah I will be going back to visit in a month or so!
Ok this is stratnge, was talking to a collegue at work today about how it SUCKS when your hometown in the States isn't your hometown anymore....
So when does a person completely adjust to being back to what's supposedly "HOME"? I've been back for 8 years no change in feeling!
I was actually born there ;P Hehehe However I haven't been there ever since I was born, coz 23 days after I came to this earth mother shipped me off to Kuwait :r
I hoped to go there this summer, but I doubt it :/
Lived in Florida for 7 years, and been in kuwait for 5 now.. I still think that Orlando is my hometown, and still not adjusted, people tell me give it some more time,, I gave it 5 years.. still nothing changed inside.. still miss it like nothing else !!
Samboose, you shot me down, I still had hope that I would adjust, but 8 years feeling the way I do is a long time.. :(
So you have a visitor coming your way. I read these things. :)

The Don, I know!!! It's hard. I think the hardest part is those little things. I mean the spur of the moment trips. The driving normally. Meeting people you REALLY get along with.
I think the human factor's the hardest. I do have a group we call ourselves the fantastic five. But when you want to throw a big huge party I find myself eliminating more than adding... I hardly come across people like "our" mentality...what to do??
You know its weird because I was thinking the same. I'm sick and tired of living here. There is no lifestyle at all. Everything sucks. I tend to overwork myself so I forget that I need to be somewhere else. So what do I miss about the US?
